PIRCHE Technology Featured in EFI Newsletter
January 15, 2025
We’re pleased to announce that the PIRCHE technology has been featured in the January 2025 EFI Newsletter, showcasing the TxPredictor platform’s use in the fields of women’s health and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
In “Foetal Microchimerism Correlates With Foetal-Maternal Histocompatibility Both During Pregnancy and Postpartum”, Staff et al. observed that higher PIRCHE scores were associated with reductions in the quantity of fetal cells present in the mother's blood during and after pregnancy, suggesting that the maternal immune system may clear foetal cells based on the degree of functional HLA incompatibility.
Additionally, in their paper, “Quantifying HLA Mismatches at Epitope Level in Haplo-HSCT: Impact in the Outcome in Strategies Using PTCy,” Gil-Etayo et al. found that higher PIRCHE scores predicted elevated risk of acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), providing support for the platform’s use as a valuable tool to improve donor selection and patient risk stratification in haploidentical stem cell transplant. Please join us in congratulating the lead authors and everyone involved in the publication of these articles! We’re always encouraged to see the use of PIRCHE extend across different domains and to have important findings such as these featured by leading organizations like EFI.To read the full articles, click through using the links below.
